GUD (pronounced “good”) is Greatest Uncommon Denominator, a print/pdf magazine with 200 pages of literary and genre fiction, poetry, and art. We feature fiction that ranges from 75 to 15,000 words. And we want to share with you a taste of that!
Just email freebie@gudmagazine.com with the title of any piece from any issue (we've got teasers for all our written content for you to peruse)! We will email you a link to an individualized PDF containing the piece you selected. Don't want to pick something out yourself? Give us a hint and tell us your favorite book, short story, or even musical genre, and we'll see what we can do.

"Sparks and Shadows" is a collection of poems, short stories, and essays by GUD contributor Lucy Snyder ('Sublety', Issue 2). Snyder has a unique voice and her work is almost instantly recognisable. Dive into this collection and you begin to feel like you're swimming around inside her head. It's not necessarily comfortable in there, but it's certainly interesting.
